Eating out with a twist
So there are some nice places to eat in Appledore, great pubs and restaurants and tea rooms, but I would be cheating you out of a great experience if I didn’t guide you to Sylvesters Fish N Chips. Perfect white marble thick flesh on the fish with golden batter and crispy chips with a soft centre. It does get busy in summer with up to an hour wait, but enjoy the wait as well with a little entertainment laid on. There is a pub next door that allow you to take your Fish N Chips in to enjoy with a pint so that is unique called ” The Champ”.
Holmsleigh in Braunton is a great base to explore the Taw estuary and the many beaches along route. Travel by car To Appledore and drive along the quay where you will find a large car park. Alternatively there is a great bus route.
